où je suis immobile, en lévitation,
j’ai rencontré
un double de moi :
Le souffleur de corps.

Sa panse résonne
et l’onde me porte
dans un voyage imaginaire
vers celles et ceux qui portent,
dans l’ombre,
les songes des parias.
Faire du corps une sculpture
comme on fait
de la pierre un corps.

Renverser le rôle des matières.

Se mettre à la place des statues.
Devenir le maintien de son habitat.

I use clay and glass as mimesis, as projections
of my body into predilected materials and shapes.

Taking the idea that the body is a hollow space,
I relate it metaphorically to a vase, a column
or a room. They are, all of them, full of breath
and sound. They are echo chambers. Their wall
is a skin that can be stolen. I like it when different forms of matter become a potential body. Sometimes I think of my movements as those of a dancer.
In performance I seek a form of choreography.
