FR La musique est l’une des nombreuses voies de l’art qui peut raviver la flamme de l’espoir dans le monde dans lequel nous vivons actuellement.
Pour certains jouer d’un instrument est une façon de communiquer, pour d’autres une façon de guérir les blessures de l’âme. Pour moi l’action de jouer un instrument, et plus précisément du marimba, se résume tout simplement à une action tribale.
Une symbiose où le corps et l’instrument vont se réunir pour exprimer les douleurs, la joie, la mélancolie et d’autres émotions que l’âme ne parvient pas à verbaliser.
Le moment où l’on joue sur la lame en bois d’un marimba, le moment d’impact d’une baguette sur la peau d’une caisse claire, c’est le moment où l’on connecte avec les âmes de la Terre et de nos ancêtres.
Une action simple et tribale nous connecte, nous fait vibrer et rêver. Une action qui fait parler notre coeur.
C’est l’art de la percussion.
EN Music is one of the many art forms that can rekindle the flame of hope in the world we live in.
For some people, playing an instrument is a way of communicating, for others it is a way of healing the wounds of the soul. For me, the act of playing an instrument, and more specifically playing the marimba, is simply a tribal action.
A symbiosis where the body and the instrument come together to express pain, joy, melancholy and other feelings that the soul cannot put into words.
The moment of playing on a wooden bar of a marimba, the moment when a stick strikes the skin of a snare drum, this is the moment when we connect with the souls of the Earth and of our ancestors.
A simple, tribal action connects us, makes us resonate and dream. An action that allows us to speak from our heart.
It is the art of percussion.
